What I Wish I Knew

This isn’t a review page. There’s no field here asking who you hired, and there won’t be. The goal is the lesson, not the company. If you want to name a contractor, good or bad, sites like Google and BBB are the right place for that. Here, we’re building a library of what homeowners wish they’d known before they started, so the next person doesn’t have to learn it the hard way too.

What We’ll Ask You

  1. What type of project was it? Repair, full replacement, storm damage, routine maintenance.
  2. What surprised you? Something you didn’t expect, good or bad.
  3. What would you ask differently next time? The question you wish you’d thought to ask before signing anything.
  4. What’s one thing you’d tell a friend before they start? The single piece of advice you’d actually say out loud.

Share What You Learned

Takes about two minutes. Submissions are reviewed before they’re posted, so it may take a few days to appear.

Share any unexpected experience.
Describe any questions you should have asked ahead of time.
Please share advice, but don’t name companies.

What Homeowners Have Shared

This library is just getting started.

Be the first to share what you learned, and help the next homeowner avoid learning it the hard way.
